Two scores, never blended
An Editor Score reflects documented Producer.network evaluation. A Community Score is calculated only from genuine accepted user ratings. We never seed or fabricate community reviews, and we do not mix the two numbers.
What a qualifying review includes
Where relevant, testing covers sound quality, workflow, value, features, stability or CPU behavior, compatibility, and alternatives. Hardware may also be assessed for build, connectivity, ergonomics, noise, and measured or manufacturer-verified specifications.
Scoring
Scores are not assigned to database entries, announcements, or hands-off previews. Category weights must be visible on a scored review and appropriate to the product. A score is a summary of the written judgment, not a substitute for it.
Controls
We level-match audio comparisons where loudness could bias perception, document the signal path, distinguish measurements from listening impressions, and state important limitations. Review samples, affiliate relationships, and sponsor involvement are disclosed.
Updates
Major software versions and meaningful price or compatibility changes can trigger reassessment. An old score is not silently reused for a materially different product.
